When you talk to a person, and ponder their thoughts and feelings, in association with their appearance and actions, you’re performing character analysis, whether you’re conscious about it or not. Be kind.
Egomania applies to someone who follows their own ungoverned impulses, is possessed by delusions of personal greatness, and feels a lack of appreciation. Someone suffering from this extreme egocentric focus is an egomaniac. The condition is psychologically abnormal.
